Responsibilities
- Multi-Stage pumps repair, reciprocating pump repair, gear box repair, steam turbine experience would all be considered an asset
- All general maintenance duties on our industrial construction project
- Read diagrams and schematic drawings, blue-prints, and service manuals to determine work procedures
- Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts
- Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances
- Align and test equipment and make any necessary adjustments
- Perform predictive and operational procedures
- Repair and/or replace defective parts
- Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Maintain an inventory of replacement parts
- Prepare layout including material selection, sequence planning and methods of work
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and free of hazards
- Ensure tools and equipment are returned to job boxes and tool cribs
- Report all incidents, “near miss” incidents including damages/non-damage, injury/non-injury incidents
- Review and participate in the preparation of safe work practices/procedures as required
- Other tasks and labor duties as required on the jobsite
Qualifications
- Journeyman Millwright ticket or Apprentice ID
- CSTS-2020 / CSO / CSTS 09 (site specific)
- Fall Protection
- Confined Space Entry Monitor
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing
Working Conditions
- Working at heights
- Working in a confined space
- Working in and around noise and dust
- Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions
- Must be clean shaven
- Personal safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots
Physical Requirements
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 lbs. with assistance
- Stand or walk for long periods of time
- Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects
- Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects
