Position Overview:
We are looking for a dependable and motivated individual to join our team as a
Building Maintenance Worker
. This is an
entry-level role
, ideal for someone who is handy, eager to learn, and enjoys working with their hands. Training will be provided.
job requirements:
Must have a valid driver's license.
High school diploma/GED.
Minimum 1 year of experience in maintenance or certifications of courses completed
Overtime as required.
DUTIES:
Drywalls repairs and caulking (required)
General knowledge of plumbing repairs.
General knowledge about heating units (boilers/furnaces)
Seasonal outdoor landscaping
Maintain outside grounds (remove snow, ice, and debris, spray and remove weeds, sweep and clean gutters, water and maintain sprinkling systems)..
Flooring installation
Prepare, paint, and decorate interior and exterior surfaces, as required.
Completing maintenance requests from tenants
Turning over units between tenants
applicable skills:
Ability to perform small repairs
Problem solving
Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels.
Must be familiar with cleaning products.
Strong customer service orientation and skills.
Interact with management, co-workers, and public.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 pounds
