Responsibilities
- Reads and interprets electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications
- Pulling cable/wire through conduits and cable trays
- Installs, replaces, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and related electrical equipment
- Cable glanding and Terminations
- Point to Point verifications to ensure integrity and safety of installations
- Ability to work off ground, with ladders, scaffolding and AWP
- Ability to measure, cut, fab and install cable trays
- Installation of heat trace, and heat trace components
- Installation of light fixtures, junction boxes and miscellaneous pieces of equipment ranging in various weights from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs
- May perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician ticket or Apprentice ID
- Must have project/construction experience; ideally working in a SAGD, or Oil and Gas Facility
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- CSTS-2020 / CSO / CSTS 09 (site specific)
- Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive
- Fall Protection
- Confined Space Entry Monitor
- Aerial Work Platform
- Completion of client mandatory site training requirements, ESC Permits, Isolations and Lockouts
- Strong mathematical, scientific, mechanical, and logical reasoning abilities
- Positive attitude towards safety with the ability to work collaboratively
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Focus on customer satisfaction
- Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing
Working Conditions
- Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions
- Working in and around noise and dust
- Must be clean shaven
- Personal safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots
Physical Requirements
- Stand or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 25kg
- Climbing stairs/ladders regularly
- Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, and sharp hand tools
