What You’ll Do:

  • Reporting to the Plant Coordinator
  • Overlooking/coordinating day to day execution of scheduled electrical work.
  • Work with multi discipled employees and the client on maintenance and projects while ensuring safety, availability, client milestones are met
  • Assists in scoping & planning of field work packages.
  • Ensure job plans are accurate for scheduled work.
  • Prepare and deliver daily work instruction to the Stuart Olson technicians at the start of shift in collaboration with your Plant Coordinator.
  • Communicates work progress and schedule variances to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Provide safe work execution of scheduled/non-scheduled work for your craft.
  • Point of contact for the upcoming and existing jobs performed by field technicians.
  • Monitors quality of work, and coaching workers where needed.
  • Assist in interpretation of electrical drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
  • Work with Operations and Planning to manage workflows, prioritize work schedules.

 Qualifications:

  • Required Journeyman Electrical ticket.
  • Supervisory experience is mandatory.
  • 5 years field experience in commercial electrical, manufacturing, 
  • Knowledge of E&I, plant processing equipment on a complex operating Petro Chemical facility.
  • Fire alarm experience will be an asset.
  • Commercial electrical experience will be an asset. 
  • Experience utilizing client SAP program.
  • Valid driver’s license with a 3-year driver’s abstract
  • Required Safety Tickets:
    • CSTS-2020
    • Energy Safety Canada
      • Fall Protection
  • Pre-access Drug and Alcohol test

Working Conditions 

  • Working at heights, in and around noise, dust, indoor and outdoor in hot and cold weather conditions
  • Working in a confined space
  • Personal safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots

Physical Requirements 

  • Must be clean shaven
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 lbs. with assistance
  • Stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects
