Location: Calgary Project Number: # 021389366 Position Type: Seasonal Employment Full-Time (8 weeks) Schedule: 35 hours per week Reporting to: Director of Facilities, Edmonton Number of Positions to Fill: 1 duties and responsibilities: Assist in performing general facility maintenance tasks, including minor repair work, maintenance of equipment, installations and performing preventive inspection of systems relating to building mechanics to ensure that all equipment is in good working order. Perform general cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning common areas, offices, restrooms, and maintaining supply levels for cleaning products and equipment. Assist with moving furniture, setting up rooms for events or meetings, and organizing spaces to support organizational activities. Work closely with the Facilities team, as well as other departments, to meet operational needs and support a positive, collaborative work environment. Contribute to the organization 's mission by maintaining a welcoming and functional space that enhances the services provided to the community. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving, as well as general cleaning and maintenance. Basic technical knowledge or willingness to learn about maintenance practices, including plumbing, electrical systems, and repairs. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and positive attitude. Strong communication skills to interact with staff and fellow team members in a professional, respectful manner. Previous experience in a maintenance, custodial, or facilities-related role is an asset, but not required.
