As an Automation Technician , you will leverage your expertise in PLC systems, SCADA integration, and control system design to enhance our manufacturing processes. You will work closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure seamless system integration, optimal performance, and continuous improvement. Duties and Responsibilities: Design and Development: Develop and implement automation solutions using PLC systems to enhance manufacturing processes. Create and maintain PLC programs and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems. Design and configure control systems, integrating them with existing infrastructure. System Integration: Integrate automation systems with SCADA Ignition by Inductive Automation. Implement and manage Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and servo packs in automation projects. Ensure seamless communication between various automation components and systems. maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance of automation systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo packs, and other automation components. Develop and maintain documentation for all automation systems and processes. optimization and Continuous Improvement: Analyze system performance to identify opportunities for improvements and cost savings. Implement process improvements and upgrades to enhance production efficiency. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the automation framework. Training and Support: Provide training and support to plant personnel on the use and maintenance of automation systems. Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to automation systems. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of three to five years of experience in industrial automation, specifically with PLC systems and ignition by inductive automation. Experience in the manufacturing industry is required; experience in glass manufacturing is a plus. Proficiency in PLC programming and HMI development. Strong knowledge of SCADA Ignition by Inductive Automation. Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and servo packs. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP). Understanding of electrical schematics and control system design. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
