POSTION SUMMARY:
MasTec Purnell is currently accepting resumes from Airdrie, Drumheller and surrounding areas, for the following positions:
Journeyman Electricians
Apprentice Electricians
Preference will be given to candidates LOCAL to Airdrie, Drumheller and surrounding areas.
education and work experience requirements:
Proof of registration in Electrician Apprenticeship Program
Journeyman Electrician with commercial or industrial experience
Preference will be given to applicants with industrial experience and with MV termination experience
Preference will be given to applicants with fall arrest, AWP training, Ground Disturbance training
Proven record of preforming quality work while maintaining a high safety standard
Safely operating of zoom booms, skid steers are assets but are not required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and abilities required:
Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for promoting and living out MasTec Purnell Canada’s 6 Core Values
Valid Class 5 driver’s license and current clean drivers abstract (5 years)
Must be punctual and reliable
Strong communication (both verbal and written) and teamwork skills are required
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is required
Valid First Aid, H2S Alive, CSO
Good hand-eye coordination is required
Ability to follow instructions and make good decisions is required
Ability to complete work projects on time and in an effective manner
Must have experience in hand signals and radio communication
Must have an acute awareness of surroundings including under, above and around you
